General Tournament Information

The Boulder Cup will take place in August 20-23, 2026.

All games will take place at Canlan Arena in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area - Ontario, Canada). When the final game schedule is released, we will confirm the 2 exact arenas.

The tournament is organized by P.O.T Academy, a team with over a decade of combined experience in competitive tournament operations and youth development.

The tournament will have 5 different age groups. U9 (Novice - Ages 7-8), U11 (Atom - Ages 9-10), U13 (Peewee - Ages 11-12), U15 (Bantam - Ages 13-14) & U18 (Ages 16-17).

Registration will open online through our official website. Spots are limited and will be confirmed upon deposit/payment.

Yes, a non-refundable deposit of $1200 secures your team’s spot. Full payment deadlines will be outlined during registration.

Entry fee for this tournament is $2500. This covers the entry for the team, player of the game medals, custom reversible team jerseys along with socks and a lunch ticket for day 2 of the tournament.

Deposits are non-refundable. Full refund policies, including withdrawal deadlines, will be clearly outlined in your e-mailed confirmation package once registered. You can also view our policy pages in the footer of our site.

Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games. Exact format (round robin, playoffs (not guaranteed), etc.) will be confirmed closer to the tournament once the final schedule is released.

Yes. Game schedules will be released 2 weeks prior to the event on our website date to allow for travel planning. Changes can occur till the last minute due to unforeseeable circumstances.
Game Format & Rules

The tournament will follow standard competitive hockey regulations of Hockey Canada. A detailed rule package will be provided to all registered teams upon registration.

Yes. All games will be officiated by certified officials.

Yes, body checking is allowed following guidelines and referee supervision.

Yes. Top teams in each division will advance to playoff rounds, culminating in 5 championship games, one per age group.

Championship teams and finalists will receive medals, team trophy and a cash prize of $1500 CAD. Players of the game will be awarded after every game.
Travel & Logistics

Hotel blocks and recommended accommodations will be provided for out-of-town teams. To arrange hotel bookings, contact us via e-mail once you have registered.

Yes. Venue parking information will be shared prior to the tournament.

Concessions will be available at participating venues. On day 2 of the tournament, lunch will be provided to each player. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated.

No, admission is free for spectators.

Games will not be live streamed. However, teams will be able to purchase game footage from our media partner, Blaze.ITM upon request.

Professional sports photography will be available on-site, offering action shots and team photo prints by our media partner, Blaze.ITM.

Player safety is a top priority. Certified officials, structured scheduling, and clear tournament protocols ensure a safe and organized experience.

Yes, tournament merch will be available to purchase onsite as well as before the tournament via this site.
Coach-Specific Questions

Roster deadlines will be communicated after registration confirmation via e-mail.

Guest player will not be allowed under any circumstances.

A pre-tournament virtual briefing will be scheduled to review rules and format for the tournament. Coaches and team managers are to take part in this meeting. An e-mail will be sent out with details for this meeting to registered teams prior to the tournament.
